The countdown has begun to Spiked X in the City, the innovative new urban action sports event taking place at London’s weather proof ExCel from 22-24 October 2010.
Spiked X in the City is going to bring buzz, excitement and adrenaline to London whilst encouraging everyone to get engaged through sport, and there is no better person to represent the event with its ethos and main messages than Anna Campbell.
Anna, who many will recognise as the winner of the BBC series ‘Last Woman Standing’, is passionate about getting people involved in action sports, and she will be actively spreading the messages of Spiked X in the City which are all very close to her own heart – social inclusion, building confidence, promoting a healthy life style through sports and encouraging everyone to get active and be involved. Anna is a true action sports hero as she proved on tv and continues to prove on a daily basis, leaving no doubt that she has got true stamina and determination as well as a deep, raw passion for action sports and no fear to try anything.
As part of her role as the action community face Anna will also be presenting the Spiked X in the City Series and searching for emerging talent in the actions sports scene. Since winning ‘Last Woman Standing’ she has refined her understanding of fitness, best ways to achieve it, where the true value in sport lies and how it can be used to build confidence as well as physical and mental strength.
Spiked X in the City offers visitors the accessibility to be part of an amazing talent line up, watch demos and engage with sporting champions learn new skills and tricks in the ‘how to’ Masterclasses, and make the most of the opportunities to see, learn, try and experience a wide range of urban and action sports in the very heart of London. Anna will of course be on site to encourage everyone to get involved in some or all of the adrenaline-pumping activities, you might even be able to challenge her in some sports!
The event will focus around 8 main areas including Ride & Roll, Freestyle, Water, Art of Combat, Rock & Roller, Snow, Parkour and Cage Cricket. Alongside the demos and taster sessions Spiked X in the City will see over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest in urban action sports equipment for everyone to check out, try and buy the latest kit, accessories and fashion.
