SPIKED - Parkour & action sports

The SPIKED Parkour and actions sports magazine is now on sale as planned.  You can order it through www.getspiked.co.uk and www.parkourgenerations.co.uk

The new partnership between SPIKED & ParkourGenerations will see the action sports publication develop over the coming issues into a full-blown Parkour magazine, the first in-print Parkour magazine in the world!

This edition of SPIKED is on sale as of Thursday 25th February, and includes a 25-page official dedicated section on Parkour as a lead-up to the launch of the full magazine over the coming issues.
This edition is packed with features including Parkour - the true ethos and way of life, how to train safely, how to get involved, training spots, techniques, plus articles on the global Parkour community.  The aim of the magazine is to be the voice of the community, so we will be regularly requesting submissions of articles, photos and the like from you all to put into the magazine.

We also have key sports science articles on the importance of the ear, fluids, stretching and warm up advice, plus inspirational and thought provoking interviews, including an interview with Anna Turney who still skis even though she is disabled from the waste down.  We also have a big section on work/life balance where we challenge people to really look at their workload and life priorities.  In this edition we talk to Jack Mason, who has a normal stressful day job , but through dedication, manages to get the most out of his life by balancing his life with achieving his goals in the sporting world.

The SPIKED ethos is to promote the principal that sport is available to anyone, at any age, at any level, and to encourage confidence and self-reliance through physical activity.

With the new partnership, SPIKED and Parkour Generations will be working together to promote a healthy lifestyle through participation in Parkour & actions sports.

We really hope you like this edition with a key focus on Parkour and we look forward to working with the global community in providing key coverage of Parkour, representing it in it’s truest form.
