X in the City confirm headline partner Spiked

X in the City (XTC), the innovative new urban action sports event, is going to bring buzz, excitement and adrenaline to London whilst encouraging everyone to get engaged through sport.

Announcing a partnership with Spiked, this creates an unstoppable extreme force focused around the shared goals and ethos of social inclusion, building confidence and promoting healthy lifestyle through urban action sports.

Set to be not just the UK's but Europe’s biggest and most interactive urban action sports event ever, Spiked X in the City will be held at the weather proof ExCel centre in the heart of London’s docklands over half term from 22-24 October 2010.

The event will focus around four main areas: The Art of Movement, Freestyle & Skatepark, Rollersports and Urban with Water sports taking place in the docks.
Part stunning spectacle - part hands on experience, you will be able to get involved in a wide range of urban and extreme sports that will get your adrenaline pumping - watch demos, have a go, learn skills from the experts in ‘how to’ Master classes and engage with action sports champions and athletes, or just chill out in the music lounge and watch the action happen around you.

One of the highlights at Spiked X in the City is the 3,000 seater auditorium 'Theatre of Xtremes', a unique and awe-inspiring display of skill and talent featuring a world-class line-up of professional urban action sports performers including UK, European and World champions, getting you close to and involved in real-life action. 
Alongside the demos and taster sessions Spiked X in the City will see over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest in urban action sports equipment for everyone to check out, try and buy the latest kit, accessories and fashion.

Confirmed partners to date include Spiked Magazine, Kiteworld, Kingdom, Europe Skate, Fidget Stick, South Coast Communications UK and Extreme Soul Business.

Spiked X in the City will definitely be the hottest ticket in town this year.
