SPIKED X in the City announce the first Parkour Global Gathering 2010 in partnership with Parkour Generations

SPIKED X in the City will host the largest ever Parkour jam and the world’s biggest bespoke Parkour course celebrating the art of movement – the Parkour Generations Global Gathering. The urban action sports show, held at the weather proof Excel in the heart of London from 22nd to 24th October 2010, will see top free running crews from Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East gathering to celebrate their sport and art. This will be an amazing show of pure talent which has never been seen to this global extent in the UK before.

Parkour Generations Global Gathering will celebrate the true essence and spirit of Parkour, welcoming all traceurs from across the world to be part of this festival. The event will feature the world’s leading practitioners of l’art du déplacement, in partnership with Parkour Generations and endorsed by PKUK (Parkour UK).

The celebration will be focused around the philosophy of movement, and bring together different styles and interpretations of the art encouraging and championing freedom of movement, artistic flow and the continuing evolution of this incredible approach to life.

Visitors to Spiked X in the City can get involved by watching demonstrations from leading global practitioners and joining open jam sessions, workshops and training seminars. The Parkour Generations Global Gathering will encourage the sharing of knowledge whilst building relationships across all communities. The ethos of the event is to encourage people of all ages, levels and abilities to participate and be a part of this unique and amazing experience.

Spiked X in the City will be THE urban action sports festival of 2010, bringing together a huge variety of adrenaline fuelled sports with underlining key messages around health and positivity through sport, inclusion and the power of sport for the mind body and soul. It offers accessibility to be part of an amazing talent line up, watch sporting champions and make the most of the opportunities to see, learn, try and experience these sports in the very heart of the City.
